Out of the several ’69 Camaros at Bent Metal Customs, this one is very special. The owner of this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS rescued it from a junkyard with his father almost 40 years ago. After about four years, he had the car to where he wanted it. Weekends were spent with the RS at car shows and cruise nights. Shortly after, the car was put on the back burner and neglected for almost 25 years. The customer then came to us after he decided he wanted to build his dream Camaro. We began the Camaro’s “rebirth” with a Detroit Speed hydroformed subframe and rear Quadralink. Schwartz Performance built an LS3 to power this beast and 6-piston Baer brakes will bring it to a stop in no time at all. The grey stripes on the Tangelo paint accent the subtle carbon fiber touches that can be seen around the car as well as the massive Billet Specialties wheels. Exceptional Upholstery of New Britain, PA took car of things on the inside of the car adding touches of orange to the black and carbon-accented interior. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS recently won “Outstanding Custom” at the Mid Atlantic Indoor Nationals… hopefully more to come!
